Educational Qualification and Eligibility
For this recruitment, different educational qualifications have been prescribed for all the posts which are as follows:
- Sub Inspector: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university/institution.
- Guardsman: Passed 9th class from a recognized school.
- Driver: Valid HMV/LMV driving license with a 9th class pass certificate.
- Non-Combatant Employee: Passed 5th class from a recognized school.
Age Limit and Relaxation
The Meghalaya Home Guard Recruitment 2024 has set the minimum age at 18 years for all positions. The maximum age is 27 years for Sub Inspector, Guardsman, and Driver roles, and 32 years for Non-Combatant Employees. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST candidates.
